xkzero welcomes you to Chicago and Sage Summit 2016!

Welcome to Chicago.  City of big shoulders.  Hog butcher to the world.  The windy city.  The second city.  The city by the lake.  Hometown of xkzero.

facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmail
reposted for original publication via PR Web

Mobile sales app developer xkzero today announced the addition of Karen Foreman as mobile sales specialist. Foreman comes to xkzero from Sage where she served in a similar capacity selling Sage Mobile Solutions and CRM.  Karen Foreman

“We are very fortunate to have Karen join our team,” xkzero co-founder, Paul Ziliak said. “Her knowledge of the Sage channel and understanding of the unique needs of Sage customers alone brings us great value, but what really sets Karen apart is her passion for mobile as the next generation technology for business. xkzero continues to invest in its products to help small and mid-sized distributors and manufacturers grow. Adding Karen to our team will only accelerate the number of companies benefiting from the larger orders, new revenue streams and reduced administrative burden delivered through mobile.”

Regarding her decision to join xkzero, Foreman expressed enthusiasm about the company’s offerings. She said, “xkzero continues to make major investments in the evolution of its products. iSales 100 provides advanced mobile selling capabilities that can not only satisfy very unique requirements, but it is also incredibly easy to set up and use. xkzero Mobile Commerce (XMC) offers enterprise caliber functionality out-of-the box for companies using Direct Store Delivery (DSD), and Route Selling as a business growth strategy. Food and beverage producers and distributors are a natural fit for XMC, and its pre-built integrations to Sage 100 and Sage X3 create significant business advantages for growing companies.”

Choosing the right mobile sales app for your business

Empowering sales and customer service teams with mobile-ability straight from your ERP/accounting system can have a powerful impact on your business. Not only can it increase revenue, but benefit the bottom line in other ways, too–like reducing labor costs and eliminating redundant data entry.  Distributor sales rep

Mobile selling also can provide a new means of intelligence gathering, making your people more confident, and more engaging.

But because everyone’s needs are not the same, choosing the right solution for your business is really important, but luckily, not complicated.

Whatever your needs are, these are some important things to keep in mind:

  • A great mobile solution starts with a vision. Get the mobile conversation started with your most free thinking people.  And be open to ideas come from anyone in your organization.  Everyone and anyone on your team might be sitting on a billion dollar idea.
  • Identify the business processes that require change.  Mobilizing your workforce is good old fashioned business process reengineering.
  • Articulate expected benefits. What financial and behavioral impacts do you seek from mobile?  If you don’t have a profit motive, why would you do it?
  • Evaluate customized and pre-existing packaged solutions to determine which will work best.  Then ask yourself if what you really need is a custom app, because you want to separate your company from any competitor, and a packaged app could be done by anyone.
  • Determine the optimal level of integration with your accounting/ERP/CRM system. Don’t overlook the fact that security is an important matter here, and that can vary user-by-user, role-by-role within your company.
  • Select a mobile platform after choosing a solution. The real value is not a matter of Android versus Apple. Remember that the real value is in the experience you create for salespeople and customers, and the processes you transform.  The phone itself is usually the commodity – if not – what you created has not much value beyond the price of the device.

Consider the greater impact of mobile. Mobile allows for a significant number of changes that can have a transformative effect on your business.  It will even change the way your customers look at you.

The video below is a recording of a recent webinar we presented.  It is geared for small and mid-sized distribution and manufacturing companies who use Sage 100 software to run their businesses.  It also contains nuggets that are useful regardless of your back-end system of choice.

It includes descriptions of some key differences between Sage Mobile Sales and these two packaged solutions published by xkzero:

Also, there is a feature comparison beginning at 23:38.

iSales 100 Version 4.0 New Value for Mobile Distribution

xkzero has submitted iSales 100 Version 4.0 to Apple for distribution on the App Store. Based on our past experience, the new release should be available within 1-2 weeks.    iSales 100

iSales 100 is the leading mobile sales application for smart phones and tablets exclusively for Sage 100 ERP. Launched at Sage Summit in Nashville three years ago, iSales 100 has grown to be a flexible, powerful and trusted mobile sales automation tool for modern distributors and manufacturers. With Version 4.0, xkzero continues on that path.

Here are some of the newest features geared to improve your productivity, and to serve your customers better:

Enhanced Control Over Items with Lot / Serial Number Tracking

Great for companies who sell perishables like food and beverages, and for industries like medical and industrial supply, chemicals, or petroleum. iSales is useful for a company in any industry that sells products tracked by Lots or Serial Numbers. We have made this feature available for Sales Order, Invoice and Credit Memo transactions. [Watch this 2-minute video.]

More Flexible Payment Terms Offered

While taking customer orders or creating a sales invoice, sales reps (with the appropriate user permissions) may now override the default customer payment terms—right from the iPhone or iPad.

Email Receipt Format Improved

In previous versions, iSales 100 produced a receipt for emailing as an editable HTML form. However, due to unpredictable formatting as a result of ever-changing browsers and email clients, we decided to make the form a PDF attachment.

Improved Search and Retrieval of Inventory Items

iSales 100 allows transactions to include Regular Items, Miscellaneous Charges and Miscellaneous Items as well as Comments to create a complete transaction for the IMG_0821customer. Now with Version 4 users can Filter by Item Type—or search by any of the 4 native Category Fields.

New Printing Options

With Version 4 of iSales 100, companies printing invoices can now choose to print in black & white to AirPrint printers.

Refined Sales Quantity and Bar Code Scanning Options

Thresholds can now be established for a Minimum Sales Quantity as well as Scan Increment Quantity.

Other improvements have been made to the appearance of transaction, item, customer, address and contact elements. Also, updates have been made for iOS 8.x Location Services.
