I was asked today by a colleague in the Sage ERP space yesterday if our mobile sales apps could help a Sage 100 ERP business partner further their focus on food and beverage clients. It was a great question and I thought I would share my reply with all of you blog readers.
Mobile sales apps can be very beneficial for food and beverage manufacturers and distributors. Whether selling ethnic foods, beer, wine, spirits, coffee, bread, etc. – wholesalers are out on the streets meeting with restauranteurs, grocers, chefs, other food / bev distributors – trying to win new accounts. Once they win those accounts they are visiting them on a regular, sometimes daily basis, stocking shelves, gauging demand, and otherwise looking for how they can help their customers succeed. Without a mobile sales app, the sales rep is less likely to be equipped with pricing, product availability, product images – and most of all – if the customer is ready to place an order, the sales rep is not able to capture their business on the spot.
